Look I know this blog isn’t a music blog - but I can’t pass up sharing good covers.
I swim in nostalgia and I guess that’s a function of my age. It’s funny, and if you haven’t worked this out yet let me tell you, it’s funny that it doesn’t matter how many miles are on the clock, on the inside the gauge is a steady number. The flip you talkin’ about Willis?
Today on Facebook - a place I hardly ever go except to find out where we’re drawing this month - a school friend of mine posted a photo of herself with her grandchild. I was shocked that my school friend had aged. Of course, she had; it’s been quite a bit of water under the bridge since we were at school together but it hadn’t occurred to me she would have aged.
Tell me ageing doesn’t surprise you when you notice it happening.
Another work year has come to a close for me. With Covid lockdowns and the general complexity of the place where I work, I really need a change. Probably just to change me really; set boundaries because I haven’t been doing that.
So time for me to crack open a rare beer, crank up the BTS on the telly, and lose myself in their beautiful work. I know that’s probably not really your cup of tea so here is Julio down by the schoolyard to put a spring in your festive steps.
